Mental Disorders

This section of mental illness provides information on different types of mental disorders. Quite often a person may have more than one mental health problem. For example, a women may have problems with feeling depressed and also have panic attacks and anxiety. She may have tried using alcohol to help cope with these problems.

A man may have an episode of psychosis and the doctors may talk about it being schizophrenia, but when there is s further episode that seems more like bipolar affective disorder. The situation could be complicated by the fact that this man also has some personality problems.
